McConkie Ranch Fremont Style Rock Art

McConkie Ranch near Vernal, Utah, has a lot of wonderful Fremont rock art. The ranch has its own website: mcconkieranch.com.

Large Fremont petroglyph panel of trapezoid-shaped figures with headdresses, necklaces and a round shield — The largest figure holds a fringed shield and possibly a head or scalp. The dark, skeletal figure on the right is in low relief, a technique I've only seen here.
